M. Albin Morariu was born in Cluj, Transylvania, Romania in 1940. He graduated High School in 1957 and attended medical school at the University of Cluj, Romania obtaining his medical degree in 1963. He subsequently completed a residency in neurology in 1966 and worked as an instructor for the Department of Neurology at the University of Cluj, Romania and received his Doctorate in Medical Science in 1971.
Dr. M. Albin Morariu immigrated to the United States in 1973 and took another residency in neurology at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital and University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He became a staff neurologist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan as of January of 1976 and was a director of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinics in the greater Detroit area. Dr. M. Albin Morariu became certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1979 and has been licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and Florida.
Florida Neurologic Center was founded by him and he has been a practicing neurologist for over an interval of over 30 years. His dedication, experience, and extensive knowledge of clinical neurology allowed him to publish a textbook entitled Major Neurological Syndromes as well as 44 articles in the neurological literature.
He has diagnosed and treated thousands of neurological patients and his specific areas of interest are neuroimaging, multiple sclerosis, stroke prevention, headaches, dementia, neurological rehabilitation, etc.
